One of a kind originals honoring some of
the most amazing animals in the world
A word from the Artist...
As a teenager, I created a watercolor of a Silverback beating on his chest, as gorillas sometimes do. It was in color and photo-realistic; and I thought, "Hey, that's not too bad"! I tried to sell it to an advertising agency who represented a zoo; but sadly, it was rejected. In the end though I was the real winner because everyday I still enjoy looking at that old guy hanging in my hallway.
Even then, I had a strong fascination for wild, exotic animals. I loved going to zoos and watching "National Geographic" on TV or "Wild Kingdom" with Marlin Perkins... watching intently and observing animal characteristics. Today I find myself still captivated by them, and I truly love painting these magnificent creatures. The savannas and watering holes were teeming with wildlife in those days. No one ever suspected there would be poachers and some species would begin to disappear.
Please enjoy your safari through my "Wild Kingdom", and hopefully a piece or two might catch your eye.
